Your First Appointment

Initial appointments are 60 minutes, though assessment is always ongoing so that I can meet you where you are at. It usually takes at least 2-3 appointments for me to build a picture so that I can best work with you on your health needs. The initial appointment may include:

Listening to your story
Starting to understand who you are and how you would like things to look for yourself
Starting to understand your symptoms and the impact they have on you and different areas of your life (physical, social, emotional, work)
Starting to understand your experience and build a picture from a biological, social, psychological, developmental and neurobiological perspective
Starting to understand your general health and well-being
Starting to understand the patterns and strategies that you use to protect yourself and to cope
Finding out about previous healthcare you’ve had including what's worked and what hasn't
Screening for any serious health conditions
Conducting a physical assessment, if clinically indicated and if time allows
Providing you with a preliminary impression regarding your symptoms and the underlying causes
Discussing therapeutic options with you
Working with you to come up with some practice points and a plan moving forward

To help me with this process, I may send you some health questionnaires that relate to physical, psychological and social well-being, as well as past experiences. However if you do not wish to answer some or all of these, that is okay.

If you have any relevant scans or reports, it may be helpful to provide me with these.

Standard Appointment 40 mins $150

Initial Appointment 60 mins $190

Travel charges for mobile services are pro rata based on an hourly rate.

NDIS fees are per current NDIS Pricing Arrangements.

NSW Workers Compensation fees are per current SIRA Workers Compensation Order.

My fees will be increased on a yearly basis.

Full payment is required on the day of appointment by cash, EFTPOS or bank transfer for self-referrals, private health insurance and Medicare Plans.

I accept self-referrals, private health insurance, Medicare Chronic Disease GP Management Plans, NDIS, and as of April 2024, NSW Workers Compensation and NSW Motor Accident schemes.

If you have a Chronic Disease GP Management Plan, Medicare offers a rebate of $58.30 per session for up to 5 sessions per calendar year. This leaves a gap of $61.70 per session for a short appointment, $91.70 for a standard appointment and $131.70 for an initial appointment.

Please check with your private health insurance provider to find out about your level of coverage.

An invoice will be provided so that you can claim any eligible rebate through Medicare or your private health insurance provider.

Please provide me with 24 hours notice if you are needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment, otherwise a 50% appointment fee will be charged.
